From July 26th to August 4th 2024, the valleys of Gualdo Cattaneo and Massa Martana will be transformed into a breathtaking stage for the Italian International Balloon Grand Prix 2024. This annual event will captivate everyone with a spectacular hot air balloon race, where crews from all over the world will compete in the skies of Umbria.
A unique experience
This year, the 37th edition of the Grand Prix will offer an extraordinary experience with about 100 hot air balloons competing. The spectacular heights and vibrant colors of the hot air balloons will fly over the enchanting views of Umbria, giving spectators an unforgettable visual spectacle.
The magic of “Night Glow”
The “Night Glow”, one of the most fascinating events of the festival, will take place on the evening of July 28 at 8:30 pm at the airport in Foligno. On this unique evening, the balloons will be lit by the burners, creating a lighting effect that will transform the sky into a sea of bright colors. Not only will it attempt to set a new Italian record for the number of balloons lit simultaneously, but it will also be an opportunity to experience a visual magic that will enchant everyone.
